The short answer

Latin and Arabic behave differently
Latin letters are mostly separate closed shapes with generous stroke widths — they print almost regardless of how you set them up. Arabic is connected script, and the joins between letters are the thinnest part of the whole design. Those joins are where a printed sign fails.
- Keep Arabic stroke width at 4 mm or more at final size
- Watch the connectors specifically, not the letter bodies
- Diacritics below about 3 mm are better omitted than printed badly

Size, and where the 250 mm limit bites
Letters up to 250 mm tall print in one piece. Above that they are split, which on lettering is easy to hide — a horizontal cut across a thick stroke disappears once painted. A word of six 300 mm letters is a project, not an instant quote.
Mounting
Individual letters on standoffs look markedly better than letters on a visible backing panel, and printing lets you build the standoff boss into the back of each letter. For interior walls, double-sided foam tape holds a printed letter indefinitely. For exteriors, print a threaded boss and screw it.
Two colours without painting
A letter with a contrasting face and side reads sharply and skips painting entirely. It adds 25% plus $2 per order for the filament purged at each colour change, which on a small sign is a few dollars against an afternoon of masking and spraying.
