For architecture faculty

A teaching model for your studio, free

One 3D-printed prop per instructor, printed here in Lebanon and couriered to your department. Pick it, we confirm by email, it arrives.

Why this exists

Every semester an instructor explains that a 200 mm wall is 2 mm at 1:100 and does not exist at 1:500 — and every semester a student learns it the week before the jury. A print on the table says it in one look. We make these for students; we would rather you had one first.

1:500 → 1:50

Scale ladder

The same 200 mm wall printed at 1:500, 1:200, 1:100 and 1:50 on one base — what survives at each scale, in your hand.

1:500

Massing tile

A 1:500 block study of a small urban site, about 60 × 60 mm.

1:50

Facade section

A 1:50 wall section about 100 mm tall — mullions, reveals and floor slab.

1:1000

Topographic tile

A contour site tile cut from public elevation data — the kind students always underestimate.

Matte white PLA, unpainted — it photographs cleanly and reads under studio lights. Photographs of each piece are being added as they come off the printer.

The five rules

Stated up front so nobody has to guess what “free” costs.

A university email address
The offer is verified through your school's own mail domain. Nothing else is checked.
One per instructor
Ever. The second request from the same address is quietly ignored.
Delivered to your department
A campus address, not a home — it belongs on the studio table.
From this list only
Custom work is priced like anyone else's, on the architects page.
20 this term
When they are gone the form says so. Next round in the spring.

Request your model

One per instructor, delivered to your department. We confirm by replying to your university address.

Which one?

We keep your name, university and the address we delivered to. Nothing is shared and nothing follows.

For your students

A free checker that says whether a model will survive at a given scale — no file, no signup. Worth a line in the studio brief.

Need something specific?

Competition models, site models over the bed size, a whole studio’s worth of massing blocks — quoted the normal way, from your file.
