Custom 3D Printing in Lebanon (No CAD File Needed)

Most custom jobs in Lebanon start with a photograph and a broken part, not a CAD file. Here is how that works and what it costs.

Illustration of a photograph and measurements becoming a modelled part.

The short answer

Custom 3D printing means we model the part for you before printing it. Send photographs with something for scale plus key measurements, we agree the design over WhatsApp, and you get a quote before any work starts. Simple parts are modelled at no extra charge; involved ones are quoted as projects.

There is a persistent assumption that 3D printing requires you to know CAD. For most of what people actually need in Lebanon, it does not — the majority of custom requests we receive arrive as a photograph of something broken.

What counts as custom

  • A part that snapped and is not sold separately
  • A bracket, mount or adapter that does not exist because your situation is unusual
  • An enclosure sized around a specific board or device
  • A jig or fixture for a workshop process
  • A one-off gift, plaque or piece with a name on it

What to send

Measurements matter more than photograph quality. A phone photo with a ruler beside the part beats a beautiful shot with nothing for scale, because we can derive everything else from one known dimension.

  1. Photographs from several angles, with a coin or ruler in frame
  2. The two or three dimensions that must be exact — usually hole spacing, a diameter, a depth
  3. What the part does and what it attaches to
  4. Whether it carries load, gets hot, or lives outdoors

The measurements that decide everything

For a part that has to fit something else, the mating dimensions are the whole job. A bracket that is 2 mm too wide is scrap. Measure hole centres rather than hole edges, measure across the widest point, and if you can, send the thing it bolts to as well.

What it costs

The printing is priced the same as any other job, by weight and material. Modelling is the variable: a simple bracket or spacer is included, while something that needs real design work is quoted as a project with the price agreed before we begin. Nothing starts without your sign-off.

When custom printing is the wrong answer

If the part is a standard fastener, bearing or seal, buy it — printed versions are worse and no cheaper. If it carries serious structural load, holds pressure, or sits against something hot, say so up front and we will tell you honestly whether printing suits it.

Frequently asked questions

Can you 3D print a part from just a photo?

Yes, provided the photo includes something for scale and you supply the critical dimensions. Photographs establish shape; measurements establish size, and both are needed.

How much does custom modelling cost in Lebanon?

Simple parts — brackets, spacers, adapters — are modelled at no extra charge as part of the print. Involved design work is quoted as a project before any work begins.

What if the custom part does not fit?

Tell us the dimension that is wrong and we adjust and reprint. This is why we ask for mating measurements up front, and why a first article on a tricky part is worth it.

Do you sign NDAs for custom work?

Yes. Product work for businesses and startups is routine, and we do not publish client work without permission.
